The past moves us because it reminds us that love—like history—is what remains, what endures through the ebb and flow of time. After more than a decade together, we are looking forward to this next chapter of our lives. As a testament to our past, present, and future, we have decided to celebrate in a place that has echoed through—and withstood—the test of generations: Château du Grand-Lucé.

Off the edge of France’s Loire Valley, where centuries of history unfold like a grand tapestry, this 18th century home has witnessed stories of nobility, revolution, and renewal. For some context, the Château is older than America. Captain Cook hadn’t discovered Hawaii when it was constructed. Since its inception in 1760—when it was built by Baron Jaques Pineau de Viennay—it has played host to the most discerning of travelers. Great philosophers and minds from the Age of Enlightenment — Voltaire, Mozart, Rousseau — as well as nobles, writers, designers—have walked these halls. Murals were painted on the walls by the artist Jean-Baptiste Pillement, whose work is also featured at the Petit Trianon, Marie Antoinette’s private garden palace at Versailles. Smaller paintings by Pillement, can be found at several museums throughout the world, including the Louvre and the National Gallery in Washington D.C

During World War I, it served as a hideaway for the Louvre’s most precious artworks. It was used as a hospital for wounded officers during World War II. During the 90s, it was listed as a historical monument and its gardens were open to the public. In 2003, American interior designer Timothy Corrigan purchased the Château and renovated it for use as his private residence. The Hotel Château is now back to fulfilling the purpose for which it was originally intended: to host and inspire. We are so excited for this timeless place to embrace our own story.

Details on Château du Grand-Lucé can be found here. Additionally, general accommodation pricing is available here. For planning purposes, discounted rates will be available and will be confirmed as attendees are finalized. Besides the possibility of the groom's niece and nephews, this will be an adults-only event.

Your presence in our lives is the greatest gift. While we are extremely excited to welcome so many loved ones to celebrate our union, we understand that life commitments and other factors may not allow for attendance. If traveling abroad is not an option for you, Justin and I sincerely understand. We will gladly accept your prayers and warm wishes from afar!

To help us most effectively plan ahead, we request you take the below survey on attendance thoughts. Let us know if you are absolute in your plans to attend, know you won’t be able to make it, or are thinking it over! Thank you for your continuous love.
